The Loft Cinema

The Loft Cinema, purchased by the nonprofit Tucson Cinema Foundation, was transformed into an exciting cultural center for a diverse cross-section of Southern Arizona audiences. Since then, The Loft has brought in hundreds of films from an ever-expanding number of countries. An impressive number of film industry professionals have come to The Loft to talk about their work, including producers Ismail Merchant and Christine Vachon; actors Philip Seymour Hoffman and Mercedes Ruehl; directors John Cameron Mitchell, Hal Hartley and John Waters; and documentary filmmakers Kirby Dick, Jonathan Caouette and Ross McElwee. In addition to the best of the first-run independent, foreign and documentary films, programming includes a Media Literacy Project which offers free screenings for local high school students funded by a grant from the Community Foundation of Southern Arizona. The Loft has been named Best of Tucson in 2003 and 2004. Visiting filmmakers have been universally impressed and grateful for the Loft's commitment to providing a venue for great art films, both big and small.

	Tell-a-friend Tucson Pima Arts Council (TPAC) Offices in the Pioneer Building The Tucson Pima Arts Council (TPAC) is the designated local arts agency for the City of Tucson and Pima County. They provide arts and cultural development services.
	Tell-a-friend UA Centennial Hall The University of Arizona's Centennial Hall is host to a variety of community events, musical guests and theatrical performances. Among the many performers to visit Centennial Hall are Jim Brickman, Katy Perry and the Joffrey Ballet.
	Tell-a-friend Tucson Rodeo Grounds Tucson Rodeo Grounds is home to the annual La Fiesta de los Vaqueros (Tucson Rodeo).
	Tell-a-friend Tohono Chul Park There is something for everyone to see and do at Tohono Chul Park. This oasis in the desert, as it is often called, offers a respite from the hectic pace of daily life, provides an informative look at the region's fascinating cultural traditions and its even more interesting flora and fauna, and is the perfect setting for an evening concert, special event or family wedding. Important Information: The park offers free admission on the first Tuesday of every month.
	Tell-a-friend Arizona State Museum The Arizona State Museum is the state's official archaeological repository and is the largest non-federal intake facility in the nation. Due to its high influence, the museum also issues permits for archaeological and paleontological projects across the state. In addition to its various archaeological research projects, the museum hosts researchers from around the world who use the collections to expand the frontiers of knowledge in archaeology, ethnology and history.
