About the artist: Katie McFadzen is in her twelfth season as an actor and instructor with Childsplay. Most recently she performed in A Year With Frog and Toad. Other Childsplay productions include: Sideways Stories From Wayside School, The BFG, Lilly’s Purple Plastic Purse, Charlotte’s Web,The Wind in the Willows, Still Life with Iris, And Then They Came For Me, and Schoolhouse Rock Live!. Outside of Childsplay Katie appeared in Something's Afoot for Phoenix Theatre, Parallel Lives: The Kathy and Mo Show for Actors Theatre, How the Other Half Loves for Arizona Theatre Company, and Five Women Wearing the Same Dress, and The Food Chain for In Mixed Company. She is a founding member of In Mixed Company where she served as Associate Artistic Director for five seasons. Katie holds a BFA in Acting/Directing from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and an MFA in Theatre for Youth from ASU and is currently on the Arizona Commission on the Arts Artist roster. Katie is an Associate Artist with a focus on Education at Childsplay.
