What a marvelous place to visit! There are so many different plants and visiting creatures displaying the spectacular wonder of the Sonoran Desert that I always find something new each time I visit. Whether it is the lushness of the riparian habitat with it's resident tortoises, the splender of the Desert View Trail, the antics of the various lizards, or the incredible art displays in the museum, there is always something new to find. And that doesn't even include the fantastic merchandise available in each of the 3 museum shops, each of which has it's own focus. The various shows are in such a peaceful and beautiful setting that one can enjoy oneself even without the entertainment. Be sure to catch the early morning chorus of desert cicadas in the summer for an experience you'll never forget. Did I mention the two annual plant sales? You won't want to miss those if you like desert plants. Collapse
