Pima Community College Orchestra Concert

Pima Community College performing arts department presents the Orchestra in concert, under the direction of Dr. Alexander Tentser. Program selections consist of music by Rossini, Schubert, Brahms and Stravinsky. The highlight of the program is the "Concerto for Harp and Flute" by Mozart, performed for the fist time by the PCC Orchestra.
The PCC Orchestra is made up of high school students, college students and community adults. Tentser came to America in 1990, after graduating from the highly recognized Russian Music Academy in Moscow, Russia. He conducted the production of the oratorio "Esther" with the Jill Wieck Singers and Orchestra in March 2009, in Tucson. He directs the PCC Orchestra and teaches orchestra, piano and other music courses at the West and Desert Vista Campuses.
