Crystal Rose Stark is a rising pop/R&B singer who brings a positive message to today's music scene. Based on her church-singing roots, she knew that she wanted to pursue a full-time career in music. Crystal attended the University of Arizona where she graduated with a Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Music Education. Crystal has made a name for herself in Tucson by fronting various jazz, soul, funk, and r&b groups, as well as being a featured jazz artist with the Tucson Jazz Society. She is also frequently asked to minister in song to various churches throughout the nation. Crystal added 'American Idol Finalist' to her list of accomplishments when she tried out for the show during season 5. She made it to the top 44 contestants out of the 100,000 that tried out across the country. The exposure from being on the show opened many opportunities for Crystal. She sang back-up on tour with American Idol runner-up Katharine Mcphee on shows such as Jay Leno, Regis & Kelly, and The Today Show. She also worked as a DJ for the popular local radio station Mega Oldies 106.3, and was a TV host for the local television station "My Tucson TV 18." Crystal can be seen around Tucson performing concerts with the Tucson Jazz Society, the fabulous "Triple Threat" vocal trio, and her unforgettable jazz/soul/r&b group "The Crystal Stark Quintet." She also serves as the music director of her church and teaches voice and piano lessons at her home studio.
