PCC Orchestra Concert

Pima Community College Performing Arts Department is pleased to present the PCC Orchestra in concert, under the direction of Dr. Alexander Tentser. The program consists of works by Handel, Vivaldi, Smetana and Beethoven arranged for small orchestra. The orchestra is composed of strings, woodwinds and piano. The PCC Orchestra is made up of high school students, college students and community adults. Tentser came to America in 1990 from the highly recognized Gnessin Music Institute in Moscow, Russia. He conducted the Arizona Balalaika Orchestra. He also conducted the production of the oratorio "Esther" with the Jill Wieck Singers and Orchestra in March 2009, in Tucson. Tentser is a pianist/organist at the Rincon Congregational Church. He also directs the PCC Orchestra and teaches piano at PCC.
