    This is the fascinating story of the Pony Express as only Jack can tell it. It lasted only a year and a half, from April 1860 to October 1861, but Americans East and West thrilled to the exploits of the elite band of daring horsemen who sped the mail across the wildest miles of the continent, between Missouri and California, on a punishing timetable of 10 days flat. It was an audacious undertaking that captured the attention of the world.
