    Bring your Thanksgiving weekend visitors out to Abounding Grace Sanctuary for an exciting evening of music by Batucax Performance Group. Batucax is a drum and dance ensemble and school in Tucson. Inspired by the music of Brazil, Batucax (pronounced bah-too-cah-SHEH) features the music of many traditions, from Brazil and all over the world. Batucax is a non-profit organization whose goal is to inspire creativity, openness, community solidarity, and collective joy, through lessons and classes, outreach programs, and high-energy performances. The Batucax Performance Group is a small troupe of musicians and dancers consisting of highly-committed musicians from the larger Batucax Community Group. The Performance Group lights up the stage with music from Brazil and from all over the world. Batucax performances grow from the pulse of the samba drums made famous in Brazil's enormous Carnaval celebrations. Batucax singers and guitarists add the melodies and grooves, and the dancers steal the show with energy and grace. Their shows provide unique and memorable entertainment that inspires and informs while providing amazing excitement and fun. Family-friendly and always inspiring, Batucax reaches into audiences in ways that few groups can.
