Just for Kids: Welcome to Planet earth, Mr. Weeeeeehooooooop

The Tucson Symphony Orchestra's Just for Kids programs for the 2009/10 season will open Saturday, October 3 with one performance of "Welcome to Planet Earth, Mr. Weeeeeehooooooop" featuring the Tucson Symphony Orchestra Brass Quintet at 10:30am. Just for Kids is a popular series of fun, informal, interactive chamber ensemble concerts lasting 45 to 50 minutes. The performances use humor, story-telling, demonstrations and participation to introduce classical music and orchestral instruments in an entertaining and kid-friendly environment to families including those with very young children. In "Welcome to Planet Earth, Mr. Weeeeeehooooooop," featuring the Tucson Symphony Orchestra Brass Quintet, viewers join a team of young kids who band together to protect the friendly alien, Mr. Weeeeeehooooooop after his plans for a peaceful vacation on earth are disrupted when some pesky earthlings become would-be captors.
